Happy New Years Eve!

Well good morning and welcome to the last day of 2012!! Crazy huh!?! I thought I would share a quick top ten post of 2012 before the new year starts! And by quick I mean quick b/c I've got to get ready and head to work!!!! I did a lot of creating this past year....more than I think i have EVER done. My style has developed a lot over the year also and the techniques I have discovered that I LOVE or don't love.

I was also blessed to be a part of a design team for a short time....twisted sketches. They were so much fun and I was so sad that Anam felt the need to stop the challenge blog. :( 

Well onto the New Year's Eve festivities....we are hanging out and playing games! 

It's Friday!

Good morning y'all! I'm sorry I've been MIA.....been busy with starting work again and holiday festivities! I have taken pictures and I have done a few crafty items! I will post some pics maybe over the weekend! I'll do my best. Won't make any promises though! I noticed a lot of people are making a top 10 list of 2012 and I have to say I made a LOT of layouts and projects in 2012 so I will try to get a list together also :)

Hope y'all have a blessed day! We are dealing with day 3 of snow and ice....I'm trying to decide if I want to try to drive myself to work this morning or have hubby take me....Hmmmm....

Saturday

I hope you are all having a happy December 15th day! Especially after the tragic events that happened yesterday in Connecticut.  How horrible and tragic for those families. I don't know about you but I know for me I hugged my kids a little tighter last night and just at the sight of them after a school day brought me to tears.  I hope that I stay in the "more" appreciative state for them and remember yesterdays events when I start to get frustrated or stressed. I LOVE my babies and my heart hurts so bad for all those families who will never see their children again.

Would you like a happy post now? I did go to my friends last weekend and we had LOTS of scrapping going on! It was soooo much fun and I already missed her when I got home Sunday night!!!! It was definitely needed too! I made the comment to her though that I had expected to get more accomplished than what I did.....5 layouts for an entire weekend of scrapping....like literally....after dinner Friday night we got busy and you could not find her kitchen table until noon on Sunday and Friday we were up until 3am! Her husband was so kind to let me know if there was less talking and more hand working then I could have gotten more done! Bwahahahahaha! I love Alan! He is so great for Michelle and I am so happy for them! (that side note was free!) Anyway, it really didn't matter because I scrap alone all the time so it was so nice to have my bestie to chat with. Ok so here are a few pictures from the weekend....some layouts....I need to photograph the others and I will work on doing that today!!! I have had a scrapbooking hangover this week! LOL....literally Monday I could not hardly function and the rest of the week is kind of a blur....hmmm....ok here are the pics:

This is of me and my guys on a church hayride! and the banner along the bottom is actually the cover page from a halloween kit I had.....My Minds Eye I believe....:) 

Insert the mess! Doesn't it look fun?! Let me just say I am NOT a clean scrapper!!!! I make a mess as you can tell b/c this is my mess and to the right of this picture is a nice neat pile that Michelle was working on! 

And you CANNOT scrap without sweetarts! I have discovered that recently....they are so YUMMY! And buttons.....oh buttons! 

I am biased I KNOW but this is one of my most favorite layouts I have made in a while! I started with an idea and kept adding layers! I wanted it super girly and that's what I got! This is a picture we took while doing our family photos in October! LOVE my guy! 

Less than 24 Hours!

Wow! December is so busy for us!!!! I have been trying to post....just isn't quite happening! I haven't scrapped either....and I'm waiting on pictures to arrive from postal pix for my December Daily....I have been writing every night in it though. I'm hoping that at some point next week I can get several posts up for you all!

This weekend.....I have been WAITING for THIS weekend for a few weeks! My bestie Michelle only lives like an hour and a half away from me....you would THINK we could see each other more but the reality of it is we are busy wives and mamas and she's been going to school and finishing up her degree....I am SO PROUD of her for this!!!! Anyway-and I start working next week and then she will be working....and the list goes on. You know how life gets. Well this weekend we were both free and I am going up tomorrow and we are scrappin all weekend! We have planned some late night scrappin tomorrow and then most of Saturday into late at night! THAT IS MY PLAN anyway.....I am so super excited! When we lived in the same town every other Friday night was spent scrapping at my house until 3am! IT WAS GREAT! It's those times you look back on that we seem to take for granted until they no longer exist....

So I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I have planned to work on my Disney album from this summer, a daily planner I made for the new year and I've got 3 packets of pictures! So BE READY!!!! If the weather is nice Sunday or Monday on my lunch break I will get the pictures taken and some posts set up for next week.....in the mean time I'll post some pictures from the archives!

I LOVE these photos! These are pictures of the first Game day of the season in 2011 with our Boyd family friends! I LOVE them soooo much and we don't get to see them nearly enough :( and we all live in the same town!

My first Circle Journal insert

Good morning! I hope you are having a Terrific Tuesday (yes I'm that cheesy!) lol.....Anyway-a group of us girls are in a circle journal circle together....did that make any sense? A group of us from the Noel Mignon message board and I am super excited!!!!! Not sure if I ever shared my actual journal or not.....so here is the one I sent off:

She asked us to journal about the day we received the journal....well...things have been so crazy around here I can't remember which day I got it so I journaled about this past Friday. It was a blessed day for our family and a changing day! I didn't have any pictures from the day and I am ok with that....I did include a receipt on the back from Sonic....because I fed a family of 4 for $8.89!!!!!! THANK YOU COUPONS! 

It's storming here so we are enjoying the change....not so much....trying to convince myself....

December Daily page 1

I am so sorry that I am just now getting this up. I really meant to get it up this morning!!!! I will try to do better, however it may actually be at night when I post every day b/c I will need daylight to take the picture and time to write and a week from tomorrow I join the working world of America! Yay me! I'm nervous, excited, sad....all emotions wrapped into one!

Anyway-enough with the boring stuff, I have yesterday DD entry. We were busy with seeing Santa-and just a reminder he was the WORST one EVER! We spent time with the in laws and then we had a light parade! This year sometime during the month I am planning to try to go back downtown and get some pics of the lights where the courthouse is all lit up.

p.s. I have the instax mini and I think I'm going to use it for a lot of my DD pics....its PERFECT for this kind of project! AND I've decided I like perfectly squared pics....is that weird? :)

December 1st

HAPPY DECEMBER! I'm so excited the holiday season is upon us! It is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year! Stay tuned for some scrappy projects in the works..... :) Sorry it's been a BUSY week! I'm going back to work in a week and this whole past week was spent getting the job! :D In the meantime here are a few fun photos I've taken over the past day or so......

ps he was the WORST santa ever! Savannah was so upset he didn't ask her or let her tell him what she wanted! And he NEVER smiled the whole time we were there....blah! Oh well...

Fall Fun Layouts

Good mornin to ya! I hope everyone had a great Monday after the long week before. I am personally already looking forward to the 2 week Christmas break ahead....although it's just a teaser for summer! LOL.  Anyway-I was not feeling well yesterday, but by the evening I was better so after supper and baths I got busy on a few layouts! I have some more fall photos I took of my girl the other day that I need to print and get scrapped before I tuck away my Willow Creek Kit from NoelMignon! My friend Sarah and I took this picture while on our church hayride. I wanted to document our friendship because she is such a blessing in my life and our friendship, I think, has blossomed over the past few months. I am so thankful she is in my life. 

This one is of my lil man! I had some pumpkins on the porch and I told him to sit down and he immediately said "cheese." I love this lil guy! wasn't the "photo op" I had planned but none the less with a 2 year old this is  what I get!

Day after the Holiday Week

It's Monday! Normally I really enjoy Monday's, not sure why but it's one of my favorite days of the week. Today, not so much....we were off almost all last week and I really enjoyed not setting my alarm, not having appointments, not having to be at school....you know the usual stuff.

These pictures are of my lil man at his Easter party at school last year. He is singing that annoying song that gets stuck in your head along with the motions....mcdonalds, mcdonalds, kentucky fried chicken and a pizza hut! :D Hope you enjoy it! Happy Thanksgiving Eve

Good morning! I hope this post finds you all in a festive spirit and a heart full of family and love wherever you are.

I know, I know...it's been almost 2 weeks since I last posted! I was doing soooo well and then BOOM...epic failure! Rest assured I am making up for it this morning with a PICTURE HEAVY BLOG POST!!!!! (consider yourself fore-warned)

This is my 3rd year to participate in a December Daily Album that was originated Ali Edwards here which is this years album :) I just LOVE her! I am so grateful to her for the inspiration. I am very big about making whatever I have work for the album. She is always saying to make it your own and make it work for you. So, that's what I do. I don't buy any fancy albums or kits....I just work with what's in my supplies. This year I have dug through my goodies and pulled out ANYTHING that I thought I MIGHT use......

This smaller one has my crop-a-dile, my markers and gellatos, ink pads, and extras :) These bags make me happy! 

I wanted everything easily accessible because when December arrives we are BUSY with activities at church, school and this year we've added basketball and I don't have time to do a lot of searching for stuff. I wanted to grab my bag and document. Plus, this year, which I tried to avoid but I cannot....we are going to be moving out of our house during the month so if this is all together I can still get a little creative time in at night :). 

Without further a-do here is my December Daily: (note it is only the foundation pages) 

for my cover I used a Heidi Swap chipboard file folder mini and covered it with paper :)

And I wanted to make a tree so I used some extra's from my pages to create this one :) Oh and I just covered the chipboard with Heidi Swapp Primrose Colorshine found here! (and as a side note apparently I forgot to take pics of days 8 and 9 but they are there!)

Everything I used to create this album, or almost everything I got out of Glad Tidings Kit that can be purchased on the 25th at Noel Mignon! She literally has THE BEST KITS EVER! When we were making cuts in our family budget I refused to give this up and am willing to sub at the school one day a month to pay for it! :D LOL.....she's awesome! I made this album for the whole month and I still have TONS left over....several pages I have not even touched yet!!!!!! 

So I hope you enjoy my album.....my pages are simple but it works for me b/c I write a lot and take a LOT of pictures in december.....so there's room for me to add more pages as I go....Love that!
