Happy Wednesday

It's beginning to look a lot like fall! I'm soooooooooooo HAPPY about this! LOVE this time of year. I love cozy sweats, big sweaters, boots, fires, mulled cider smells....and YUMMY comfort food! What do you enjoy about this time of year? It's one of my absolute favorites!

I have been participating over at the Noel Mignon Back to School Crop! It's so much fun! YOU should come and join us! I know today is not Tuesdays with Noel kits but I really meant to get this up yesterday but between my Army Wives marathon I was having, taking care of mr little and teacher conferences it was kinda hard to blog! LOL......

So needless to say, no different than when I was actually IN school I'm procrastinating because the only layout I have finished is from the very first class they had over there! Which was Beginning Band with Leslie Ashe! I LOVE her! She is so amazingly talented and I LIVE to see what she creates! I scrapped almost exactly like she did......and I LOVED the outcome. I got messy, I layered and I just had super fun! I plan to start trying to change my mindset when digging into my creativity to produce more like this one:

So technically it's Tuesday still....even though I typically try to do my blog posts in the morning times. But I'm hoping this week to get back to our

REGULARLY SCHEDULED BLOG CASTS!

It's been a crazy few months around here. First we're moving across the country, so I start packing....and then we're not so then I have to unpack and my house has been a complete mess ever since. My hubby and I FINALLY got our house back in order this past week, then we had a long weekend which I took most of that time to just relax with my family and be in the moment! In the meantime this past week I did manage to get some layouts done! One is top secret b/c I'm participating in Noel's layout tag for fall! So much fun! It's like playing telephone, remember that when you were little, only with scrapbooking layouts! It's FAB!

Anyway, here is a layout I CAN share:

I also used the beautiful August West Coast Kit which is all sold out...but....psssstttt....NOEL MADE A LIMITED EDITION that is VERY similar and she only has a few!!!!!! HURRY!!!!!

Insta-Friday

WOW! Summer is coming to an end! So sad. It's been a crazy and busy summer....N O T H I N G like I had planned. Visions of my summer included daily swimming and the occasional nap and snack in between. THAT'S IT. Not at all that way. It's the same thing I tried for last summer that didn't happen so I guess I will try again next summer. Eventually....eventually I will get there! Anyway-today I'm linking up with life rearranged for insta fridays! Here is a recap from our week

I took the littles for a picnic at the park and they loved it! 

I went shopping with one of my besties on Saturday! Had so much fun! LOVE her! 

We got FREE starbucks! It was well worth the drive to get! So yummy!

I found this HUGE box of poptarts that at first I thought was a GIANT pop tart....but its just a GIANT box of 48 pop tarts. What a bummer b/c it would be really cool to actually have a GIANT pop tart. 

We went to the part for some fun play time with friends.....

they refused to stop for a picture....don't they know me by now?

They did manage to talk Tabb into getting on the merry go round.....it was GREAT!

Child training bible! I'm slowly working on this......will be so good for all of us!

We went to open house.  Savannah LOVES her teacher and she keeps asking me how many days until school starts. I think she is ready! 

Jackson found a Buzz book in the reading nook. 

And Savannah made herself at home in her new classroom!

Friends for Life

So as I mentioned the other day, we are currently in "move across the country mode."  It's a stressful time in our house, but at the same time it's exciting as we are trying lots of new things as a family. It also contains a great deal of sadness as I realized this is the longest we have been in one place and the longest in any state! We had some friends, some of our best friends come down last weekend to send us off with well wishes. I LOVE them so much! And I started the documenting stage of that visit....scrapping one page! LOL....I have LOTS of pictures to scrapbook but this one I am sharing today is one of the cutest! Its a Shelby, a Jackson, a Minion, a Minnie and a Mickey kinda day! AND I participated in Creative Scrappers sketch 220! LOVE LOVE LOVE this sketch! Did I mention I LOVE this sketch? I also used the Boardwalk Kit from Noel Mignon...which is sold out but there is a limited edition one if you would like one that's similar! Hope you all enjoy it! :D

On Cloud Nine!

Good morning fellow bloggers! I have been absent for a while....after I just set a blog schedule for all the world to see! I know! I'm terrible! I have good reason though! We are moving and so this summer life changing event has taken over my life! So I will probably be pretty random on posts for a little bit but HOPEFULLY soon....I can get back to our "regularly scheduled program!"

Anyway want to give a HUGE shout out to Leslie Ashe! OMGoodness! She is on the Noel Mignon design team this term and I completely ADORE her work! She is one amazingly talented friend! I have followed her blog for a while and NOW she's on the DT where my home on the web is......and so I also follow her on instagram and facebook....Hmmmm is that considered stalking? (Shhhh....don't tell her, but I'm sure she won't mind....she is super duper sweet!) Anywho this week over on the message board the design team was given the challenge to lift a message board member.....AND let's see, Leslie is a DT member and yours truly is a MB member.....hmmmm 1+1=2 and you guessed it! SHE LIFTED ME!!!! (GASP) I'm STILL on cloud 9! I am starstruck! I mean....Leslie is FAMOUS in our little corner of this hobby world and I am so honored she picked me to lift! Here is her post! Tuesday's with Noel Kits

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great start to the week yesterday. I know I did-we lounged and swam and lounged and lounged some more! Today brings fun times as my mom promised the oldest a trip to toys r us to go birthday shopping! So it will be a fun day!

Without further ado here are some layouts I made using the fabulous Boardwalk kit over at Noel!!!! It is a BEAUTIFUL kit and the original is all sold out but she made a few limited edition ones so hurry over and pick one up!

This first one is one of my favorite! I LOVE the papers, I love the picture and I just LOVE it! My dad snapped this picture for me over Easter weekend! I should have taken close up pics b/c there is a bicycle in the bottom right corner....it's a stamp from the kit and I used brads on the tires.....:) I did pull the pink alphas from stash that came in the cabin fever kit. Oh and the butterflies are the wooden ones and I used the gorgeous blue spray from the kit as well!

This one I just adore. My sweet girl and her last day of kindergarten. I used a sketch for this one but I can't remember if it was a Jana Eubank sketch or a different one.....(i'm so sorry) Everything on here is from the kit :) Used the spray to drop ink in a slant down the page! 

This one is of my sweet girl and her "bff" at their end of the year dance recital! I used some Shimelle Lane inspiration! I love how different this layout turned out from the others and I just adore these two girls!

Weekend Re-Cap

Happy Monday! I think I am the only person on the planet that gets excited about Mondays! Typically-during the school year-everyone goes back to work and school and I get the day to catch up laundry and cleaning and such....and it's QUIET after a loud and busy weekend. Even though it's summer and everyone is here I still LOVE Mondays!

Anyway-I told you last week I was going to work on a blog schedule....well I'm here with day 2! Here is my planned schedule:

So for my weekend recap: I got my blog schedule figured out....I may need to tweak it some later but we'll see. My mom arrived from Arizona! WOOT WOOT! And we were just lazy around the house, it's been too stinkin hot to do anything so we have been hibernating for about 4 days! I'm hoping to get some pool time in today between the raindrops that we desperately need!
