Day 2-WITL....or better known as Week In The Life

Well I'm still doing it on day 2 of WITL with Ali Edwards....she is SERIOUSLY inspiring! Anyway I knew that today I would not take as many photos....which is possibly why I did NOT b/c I had already psyched myself out.....hmmmm....there's a thought. I did take 63 though.

I left the house a few times without my camera! grrrr....I did capture some things on my phone but I have not yet learned how to get the pics from my phone to my computer....so I have to order from my phone for those pics. BLAH! I did try to be more purposeful....I used the timer on my camera a TON and I never seem to do that AND I put myself in several photos today....like with my coffee, cooking, my kids...I doubt I share those particular photos online though but they will be in my book b/c I'm never on the other side of the lens.

Pouring coffee....b/c it's what I do every. single. morning. BEFORE I can do anything else. 

this is my driving to school look....no makeup, hair not done, lounge clothes. And it looks DARK but that's because it was raining. We got up to thunder....very dreary day here

she is the hardest baby I've had trying to get to eat from a spoon.  I have tried several different types of spoons and shapes. I'm open to suggestions....and I'm just going to chalk it up to lazy! 

this is blurry but it's the only one I had of just HIM. Day 2 of soccer.  I love him. He is really starting to come into his own. 

Wheel of Fortune....it's a favorite nightime show for us...better known as "puzzles" around our house. It's good for their spelling and letter recognition! (see I'm schooling them without them knowing it!)

I LOVE this. He was scared and I wasn't in bed yet so sissy told him he could lay with her! She was very compassionate with him...which at night is rare b/c everyone is tired and everyone needs their own space. :D 

Week in the Life Day:1

I am following along with Ali Edwards in a Week In the Life 2014! I did this project a few times but it's been a few years and decided this year was perfect to play along! I will say it has pushed me back into using my DSLR which I am thrilled with! I usually just use my camera phone but I have had my canon out all day long. I have carried it, set it on the counter with the timer, etc....I'm excited to see what the week holds.  It is not a typical week for us though b/c it's halloween with LOTS of festivities and LOTS of makeup soccer games to finish the season this week...but I will be excited to see what we are doing.

When I uploaded my pics from my camera I was just shy of 100 photos for day 1! WOW! I was impressed and I will not be depressed if I don't even get close to that the rest of the week! I'm usually gung ho on day 1 and then fizzle towards the end! I got a variety and I actually tried not to edit ANY of them b/c I want it in the REAL HERE AND NOW!

This lil cutie woke up at 5am....I was not ready for it! 

It's PUMPKIN season and this is my FAVORITE coffee cup right now b/c it's big and it's just the perfect mug! 

Not sure what's up with this face but it was Pajama day at school for Red Ribbon week! :D 

These two were snuggly today after Jackson got out of preschool. He said, "mom she wants to hold me!" So I let him hold her. 

Dinner at the table....burger king because it was 7:45 when we were finally headed home for the night and I was EXHAUSTED.

Hump Day, Happy Day

So I said I was back and then didn't write for a week! OOPS! That's what we call......grace....hehehehe.  Because you will give me grace as a busy mom to 3!  And honestly I wasn't writing, not because I didn't have anything to say but I didn't feel like I had anything to share! I haven't been scrappin, haven't done any paintings, nothing creative really b/c I've been busy with prior obligations and kids sports and such.  However I was looking through some pictures I have taken over the last year of layouts and noticed that I haven't shared near as many as I have and I have an entire stack of layouts that I need photograph and upload. I might work on that next week or the following....no promises though. For now here are a few....

This is of my sweet girl on Easter a few years ago, I used Noel Mignon Kit and I apologize I cannot remember which one and I believe this layout was for a challenge she had also. (see it's been waaaaay too long). 

I don't remember the purpose of this one either BUT these pics were taken Christmas before last at my Aunt's house when we celebrated on Christmas eve. 

And this one I just love of my lil guy! That face! Just makes my heart warm every time! 

Well I won't be on again until sometime next week.  I am busy cleaning around my house today and tomorrow and then I am headed off to a much needed retreat....a scrapbook retreat with 2 of my best friends!!!!! :D I am soooo excited to scrap some pictures and maybe work on getting my December Daily album together....although I doubt it....I just want to scrap some pictures....for fun...for me. It's been a while since I've done that so I'm READY!

Coming Back

Good morning friends! Or Happy Hump Day! I've really been thinking about life, my family and memories I want to remember and it's got me into seriously thinking about how I do things and wanting to change that.  I am by no means a writer, a professional or anything of the sort BUT I do however want to get back into blogging and writing to remember this crazy journey we call life.

I've been digging into research on several things and ways to document life.  I, of course, will continue to scrapbook and I promise to work harder at sharing those pages on here.  I think I will work on a loose schedule of writing and I say "loose" very loosely b/c we all know me and how I keep a schedule! Haha! I'm thinking maybe if I sit down a few days a week and write them out and schedule them in advance maybe, just maybe I can stick to it better.

Anyway-we are starting some new things around here and I will be sharing those as we get closer to it and what we are doing and how.  Please share and invite your friends and join me on the journey! Leave comments and such b/c I LOVE hearing from all of you! :D

For now-I will leave a picture with you....my really good friend Kayleigh got married over the weekend and asked me to take her wedding photos! I was shocked and honored! I tried to get her to really get a professional but she wanted me! I sure hope I lived up to her expectations! I quickly learned the pressure I put on myself was all on me though and not her.  She sent me a few ideas via facebook but mostly she wanted me there, to not be in her face, just ready to click when she said "I want this!" She was the boss and it worked out great for me! I've got to get busy editing those pics but here is one of me and her and few of my favs!

Here we are....another week almost gone and it snuck up on me! Actually I have been dealing with traveling and sick kids. UGH....that's the worst having a sick kiddo! But all is better around here now thank goodness! I'm hoping everyone is on the mend.

Week In The Life.....Epic Fail

So last week was an Epic Failure for me! Which comes to no surprise that I do not do project life. I'm just not programmed that way! It's a nice thought in theory but I just don't do well! I like to just take pictures when the mood strikes, scrapbook and now blog about it.....oh well....maybe I'll try again later....who knows. I'm excited to see everyone who actually did participate though!

Today I am sharing some junk journal pages I did for a swap over on the two peas board.  They are very plain for my taste.  It was my first swap like this to participate in and I had a really hard time creatively with them. I'm not sure why....I just had a mental block and it may be because I do my pages based on an actual picture.....that's my starting point.  So to create something for 9 other people with nothing in mind is kind of challenging! I will probably end up sprucing my up when they come back to me....we shall see.

These first two are for the traveling one....not really sure why I participated in this one b/c we don't travel.....I should have done the summer one....oh well. 

This one is for fall....my FAVORITE time of year! And I just realized when I took this picture that tag looks very plain BUT it has 3 stripes of colored washi tape and a leaf glued on there to give it some dimension!

Under the Weather

Hi y'all! I'm still here...sorry I haven't been posting pics from day in the life...I honestly haven't even taken very many pictures....may have to do this week again later. Anyway I'm just not feeling really great right now and I wanted to let you all know I'm here...hopefully I can get back to some normal-ness soon. :(
